The World Beyond
This trend emits a sparkling feeling, rich with imagination; just step into a closet and find yourself in a world full of fantasy and fun! Spaces are the playing field for imagination, where anything is possible. This feeling is created through loopholes of semi-transparent materials bundled with colour degrades and mirrors. Partial concealments and unexpected shiny materials create a dreamy vibe in the interior. On the walls and in the background the colour degrades are combined with spot patterns, which gives you the feeling the interior is floating; hereby enhancing the effect of limitless space. Semiprecious stones and crystals are displayed in a colour degrading order. Accessories can be found as loose object across the spaces. Flowers are distributed in the same manner, arranged in a loose and airy way and sometimes partly concealed. Plant arrangements incite the idea of a miniature ecosystem.
The large variety of used materials appeal to the imagination. Rich, decorative and awe inspiring shiny materials have alienating and changeant effects. These are bundles by contrast and have both smooth as crude surfaces.
The shapes are as diverse as the materials and are found both in a raw, crafty and an elegant, decorative fashion. This external contrast can be seen as a fight between good and evil, radiating tension and enforcing the fairy-tale reality.
The patterns comprise spots and spatters and intriguing dip dyes together with degrading patterns. Additionally drawn prints of leaf, branch and flower motives are displayed in a slightly estranging pattern.
Colours can be found in two segments: a pastel section in which purple is the main component and a dark segment with dark red and dark poisonous green leading the play. The colours are combined in contrast thus enforcing the tension. Additionally two metallic colours are included: gold and copper, further enhancing the contrast.
With the use of backgrounds in a shop or presentation it is of importance to find contrast in the arrangement. As mentioned before this is achieved with proper use of colour, material and design. Examples are the irregular spot patterns with shiny effects and patterns with a spatial component referring to a galaxy or the entire universe.
A course bouquet with wild branches decorated in contrast with small branches in a gold spray. The used flowers are luxurious and unexpectedly divergent, thus making this a fascinating arrangement.
A miniature enchanted forest: when combined, the small plants and bonsai trees result in a surprisingly fanciful biotope. As a jolly attribute, gold sprayed leaves can be included. The possibly subtle use of small puppets or sculptures is the enchanted cherry on this fairy-tale pie.
A merry table decoration with drinking cups in a colour degraded used as miniature glass bells. The use of cushion moss and copper branches enforce the magical feeling. Pay special attention to the implementation of contrasting materials, colours and shapes; use the same care while selecting the flowers.
This is a decorative arrangement in which a neat intensity is created through the use of contrast between luxurious flowers and dark candles.
